Photographer Ani (Anibal) Gonzalez Rivera, a native of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, moved to New York City at the age of 5. He studied fine arts and photography at Bard College and Pratt Institute of Technology. He is the recipient of photography and painting awards from the New York Creative Artist Program and the New York Foundation for the Arts. His work is included in numerous public & private collections, including the Museum of Photographic Arts, San Diego, CA En Foco, Bronx, NY, and the University Gallery, University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His most recent exhibition, Abstract Notions, Selections from the Permanent Collection, was at the University Gallery, University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

As a guest at Casa Grande in the Spring of 2003, Mr. Rivera was captivated by the beauty of the plants, flowers and trees on the property.
